Small and cozy restaurant with a wide range of dishes made from potatoes where also vegetarians can find some delicious dishes. At the drinks menu you can see beside the usual drinks also a wide range of apple juices with and without alcohol. During the summer time there is also a small pub garden in front of the restaurant. It is directly on the pavement of the low-traffic Riemergasse. At the weekend it's recommended to make a table reservation.

Well known restaurant of the Plachutta-group nearby the opera, which is also well attended from a lot of tourists. The Viennese Schnitzel from the veal is served here in a very good quality and is offered for an appropriate high price (together with a salad for approx. 30 Euro). There is also a pub garden in front of the restaurant which is usually open at mild temperatures. If you do not have a problem with the slight Viennese arrogance of the waiters, you can enjoy a really good meal here. A table reservation is recommended at almost any time of the day.

The restaurant is known for its Figlmüller Schnitzel. For the plate sized Viennese Schnitzel of pork you pay about 19.90 Euro without side dishes. For this price you get the schnitzel served by a waiter in a classic tuxedo in this traditional establishment. The entrance of the small and rustic restaurant is located in a narrow passage between Wollzeile and Lugeck. To get a table you should definitely make a reservation in advance. If you cannot get a table at Wollzeile, you can try the nearby second restaurant at Bäckerstrasse, which also serves a Figlmüller Schnitzel.

You can find this restaurant in a small alley very close to the Stephansdom church. If you do not have a problem with the colorful decoration inside you should be able to feel well here. In the menu you cannot only select among typical offering of steak, ribs and burgers. There are also some known Austrian dishes available like the -Tafelspitz- (cooked beef meat) or the -Wiener Schnitzel-. The huge pub garden in the Goldschmiedgasse is a nice place to stay in the summer. There is no traffic in this quite alley. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay near the Stephansdom, here you get good food at a reasonable pricing directly in the center of the city.

The Huth family runs several well-known restaurants in Vienna. The Huth Gastwirtschaft in Schellinggasse is the original restaurant and has been a reliable address for good cuisine for over 20 years. In the modern and soberly furnished restaurant, you get classic Austrian dishes of excellent quality for a fair price. The Wiener Schnitzel with a side dish costs around 27,90 Euro, as does the classic Tafelspitz. Probably the most famous restaurant in Austria for the typically local dish -Tafelspitz- (cooked beef meat). It is served in a polished cooper pot together with a tasty soup and is high praise for the excellent quality. Due to the popularity of this location the visitor frequency is usually very high. Therefore most time the Plachutta is very crowded and the room, for the most tables, is quite tight. In any case you should make a table reservation and calculate an accordingly budget.
