Schönbrunn Opening Hours & Ticket Prices

The palace gardens are open every day and can be visited free of charge. The opening hours for Schönbrunn Palace and other attractions can be found directly below. In the following sections you will find a ticket prices overview and some combo tickets tips.

Opening Hours

Palace Gardens

Daily open from 6:30 am.
The opening times vary throughout the year.
In winter time open at least until 5:30 pm.
From March to the end of October at least until 7:00 pm.
In April, August and September until 8:00 pm.
From beginning of May till the end of July until 9:00 pm.

Schönbrunn Palace

Open daily at least from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
From April to November at least until 5:30 pm,
in July and August open until 6:00 pm.

Gloriette Viewing Platform

From April 1st until November 2nd 2025 open from 9:30 am.
From April 1st - June 30th until 5:30 pm.
In July and August until 6:30 pm.
From September 1st - October 25th until 5:30 pm.
From October 26th to November 2nd until 4:00 pm.

Zoo

Daily open from 9:00 am.
November, December and January until 4:30 pm.
February until 5:00 pm.
March and October until 5:30 pm.
From April to September until 6:30 pm.
Last admission 30 minutes before the end of the opening hours.

Maze

Desert House

Daily open from 9:00 am.
January - April and October - December until 5:00 pm.
May - September until 6:00 pm.

Neptune Fountain & Obelisk Fountain

The fountains are usually in operation from May to the middle of October, daily from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Palm House

Daily open from 10:00 am.
From May to September until 6:00 pm.
From October to April until 5:00 pm.
Last admission 30 minutes before the end of the opening hours.

Crown Prince Garden

Tips for combined tickets

Schönbrunn Winter Pass

With just one ticket you will be able to visit some of the beautiful rooms in the palace with an audio guide, as well as the Zoo, the Desert House and the Palm House. The Winter Pass costs approx. 69 Euro and is available from 3.11.2025 to 26.03.2026.

Zoo

Schönbrunn Zoo and Giant Ferris Wheel for approx. 33,50 Euro.
Schönbrunn Zoo, Desert House and Palm House for approx. 36,00 Euro.

Vienna Pass - All Inclusive
